Spring is coming, a time of promise after a very long winter. Newness, rebirth, hope...words abound describing the changing seasons. What thoughts follow? The continued seasons of life that we all experience, expected yet individual ...never stopping or pausing . Yet I look in the mirror, and see old...grey, wrinkles, dark circles, weary. tears just below the surface, ready to leak out at unexpected moments. Where am I in this new season? Hopefully just slightly buried beneath this strange exterior, time for newness here, too.

  2. Here's to a season of renewal, which if intermingled with times of tears is OK. I remember being told once the value and power of tears, how they cleanse us and heal us. Since I have always been a weepy one, I have taken it to heart. So, let your tears provide the needed water for the seeds of hope this spring!

  3. It's okay to cry. It's actually healthier for you then trying to hold them in. You can blame allergies (now that spring is coming) but take some time to let your emotions flow. Read through the Psalms if you haven't already. David's words a large range of emotions from venting and anger at God to contemplation and exaltation. God wants us to be real and authentic at each moment and season of life.

by the way - you are beautiful. I hope you get some rest. I know you are strong, but it's okay to rely on others for support too. Maybe it's time for another hot vacation?
    love you lots xoxo
